International Day of Action on Iran

On Saturday, October 6, peace groups in Canada joined an International Day of Action against an attack on Iran. Peace Alliance Winnipeg organized an information picket in Osborne Village to explain the dangers of a NATO-led war against Iran.

The Canadian government has claimed that Iran is the most significant threat to global peace and security, even though Iran has not been the aggressor in any of the recent conflicts in the Middle East.

The next Peace Alliance Winnipeg meeting is October 9 at Westminster United Church, 745 Westminster Avenue, at 6:30 p.m. This will be a joint meeting with Council of Canadians – Winnipeg Chapter.
